BB Sally Wyatt proposal
Believe it or not, this award is not going to B&B’s Liam this year but, rather, his brother, Wyatt! He easily snatched the crown by ditching Flo and, a few days later, proposing to Sally. Whom, you’ll recall, he last year got involved with almost immediately after getting out of a relationship with Katie!
Y&R Kevin Michael
Quote Of The Year
Soon after both Chloe and Adam were resurrected on Y&R, Michael uttered, “Only one person at a time should be allowed to come back from the dead!” Being big believers that this type of “twist” has become practically de rigueur on soaps, you probably heard us shouting “Amen!” even from the cheap seats.
B&B Liam Hope Maya
Biggest Question Mark
Maya’s been back on the B&B canvas for a year (even if she’s rarely seen), and we still have absolutely no idea why she and Rick divorced. It’s time to either bring Rick home or let Maya move on. Better still, have Maya move on and then bring Rick home!
Y&R Traci Cane
As Y&R’s Traci and Cane began working together on her novel, we fell in love with the possibility of the pair. What we hoped would be a wonderful tale of romance blooming in the most unlikely of places instead turned into a short story that was about, more than anything, missed opportunities.
B&B Douglas Thomas
Sure, the things that freaked out B&B’s Hope and Brooke about Thomas are bad… but they don’t even know about some of his antics! Not only are they clueless about the fact that he drugged Liam (who wound up in Steffy’s bed!), but he also got away with using technology to haunt poor Douglas with a projected ghost!
Y&R Amanda Devon Elena
When Y&R announced that Mishael Morgan would be returning as Hilary look-alike Amanda, we couldn’t wait to see how things played out! So far, however, the sexy attorney hasn’t been given much more to do than shock the residents of Genoa City (“It’s Hilary… with bangs!”) and offer legal advice. Here’s hoping that by next year, we’ll be moving Amanda into a far more interesting Best & Worst category!
Y&R Jack Victor
Least Believable Twist
Raise your hand if you believed for one second that Y&R’s Victor was actually dead. Anyone? Bueller? Of course not! For one thing, this wasn’t exactly the first time Victor’s purchased a round-trip ticket to the great beyond. Plus, does anyone really think that when one of daytime’s most iconic characters checks out, it will be by collapsing on the living-room floor? No way! TGVN will go out in a blaze of glory… or not at all!
Bb Hope Sally Dog
Worst Consolation Gift
Was the puppy B&B’s Sally offered a grieving Hope adorable? Of course. But it sort of implied that her “dead” child could be easily replaced. On top of that, one should never give an animal as a gift without making sure that it’s going to a home that’s willing to make a lifetime commitment. And let’s face it: Those words are not in Liam’s vocabulary!
Y&R Summer Theo
Most Likely To Succeed
Let’s face it: Y&R did a terrible job of introducing the character of Theo. So it’s kind of miraculous that we’re actually hoping the show’s attempt to turn the egotistical influencer into a lovable lead works. Portrayer Tyler Johnson is a keeper… now all the writers need to do is make sure Theo becomes one, too.
B&B Hope Thomas wedding
Over the years, we’ve seen just about everything imaginable happen when the officiant at a soap wedding says those in attendance should “speak now or forever hold your peace.” Or so we thought before B&B’s Beth waddled up to Hope, tugged on her dress and said, “Mama!”
