Brett Erickson/Shandrew PR When Hope first moved in with Duell, the backyard was little more than a patch of dirt, but they have been progressively making major improvements. “We put in a fire pit about a year and a half ago, and I love sitting out there at night, because we can see the stars,” she said. “It’s a great backyard, and it’s especially nice for our dogs.” -

Brett Erickson/Shandrew PR Decorations on the walls represent Hope and Duell’s commitment to their faith. “God — and spirituality in general — is a huge part of our life,” she confided. “We keep that in the forefront of how we live, so we like reminders of that around the house.” -
Brett Erickson/Shandrew PR Hope is a certified Pilates instructor, which is why Duell gifted her with her very own reformer machine for her birthday last year. “It’s so I can keep up with my certification and not forget what I’ve learned,” she said, adding with a laugh, “And I can also train him. So we all win!” -
Brett Erickson/Shandrew PR “I’ve had that guitar for close to 10 years,” revealed the actress. “I’ve taken so many lessons, but I just can’t get the strumming down!” Duell’s beloved electric guitar doesn’t get as much use as its owner would like, either. “But both guitars look really cool in the house!” she added. -
Brett Erickson/Shandrew PR “Chad and I are both big nerds, and we like nostalgic things that remind us of being kids,” Hope said of this shelf of kitschy collectibles, including Harry Potter merchandise (a series they’re both obsessed with). “Neither of us can be too serious.” -
Brett Erickson/Shandrew PR The couple spend plenty of time in deep concentration over this dining table! “We put a lot of puzzles together,” Hope explained. “We have a couple of them framed around our house. This one was a 3-D puzzle that my mom got Chad for his birthday.” -
Brett Erickson/Shandrew PR “I’m such a Texas girl,” admitted Hope, who keeps her home state’s flag on the wall above her bed. “Even though California is my home now, I’m proud of where I grew up.” The marquee sign to the right is also an inspiring motto for the actress. “My brother got that for me for Christmas two years ago, and I just fell in love with it.” -
Brett Erickson/Shandrew PR “We both like to cook, but because we’ve been working so much lately and we’re trying to stay healthy, we’ve been on a delivery service for a little bit,” revealed Hope. “But when we were first dating, we were always finding new recipes to try out.” -
Brett Erickson/Shandrew PR This backyard boxing dummy is another gift that Hope gave her boyfriend a few years back. “We laugh because it’s right outside our window and it sometimes scares people!” she said. “I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten startled by him.” -
Brett Erickson/Shandrew PR After Hope threatened to get a tattoo mustache on her finger so she could hold it under her nose to amuse people, her dad got her this mug instead. “Chad and I sometimes fight over it,” she laughed. -
Brett Erickson/Shandrew PR Duell gave Hope this sign a few years ago after realizing it could be their “soap couple” nickname. “You know how they mix characters’ names, like Wyatt and Sally are ‘Wally’? We were joking about what ours would be, and ‘Dope’ [a mashup of their last names] kind of stuck!”
