THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Beth Maitland Shares Her Incredible European Vacation
The holidays are best spent with family, and THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS star Beth Maitland (Traci) not only enjoyed them with her daughter, Emilia Banninger, but she did so in England, where the young woman is studying at the Royal Academy of Music! And after spending Christmas with Emelia and seeing the sights in London, the pair then traveled to Scotland for Hogmanay, a traditional New Year’s festival.
While in London, the ladies took in a double decker bus ride where Maitland captured some video from the upper deck as they went down Oxford Street, all aglow with festive holiday lights.
And while checking out the annual Winter Wonderland festival in Hyde Park, London, Maitland shot a quick video of Emelia holding some mulled wine before panning up to show the looming figures of an animated statue of a man holding a bird. It’s probably supposed to be fun, but it’s actually kind of creepy!
Being half-Scottish, Maitland was looking forward to visiting her homeland and participating in the Royal Mile Torchlight Procession. Thousands of people march through Edinburgh carrying torches to kick off the Hogmanay celebrations. “We got one whole day of sun,” Matiland tweeted at the time, “then some clouds for the Torchlight Procession, and today it’s even darker, but the water is choppy and glorious and not a drop of rain in Edinburgh.”
