DAYS Pals Alison Sweeney and Kristian Alfonso Reunite in a New Movie!
It may not be in Salem, but DAYS OF OUR LIVES pals Alison Sweeney (Sami) and Kristian Alfonso (ex-Hope) are back together on television screens this weekend! The lovely ladies will appear together in Helped To Death, the latest installment of Sweeney’s Hallmark Movies & Mysteries signature series Chronicle Mysteries, airing Sun. Feb. 21, at 8 p.m. EST! In Helped To Death, Sweeney’s true-crime podcaster Alex and her colleague, newspaper editor Drew (played by Benjamin Ayres), go undercover at a self-help retreat to investigate the controversial life coach who runs the group.
When one of the Garrett Vision Retreat’s participants ends up dead, Alex, Drew and the rest of the Harrington Chronicle team seek out the murderer amidst the leader’s devoted followers and inner circle before one of them becomes the next victim. But of course, all of the Garrett Vision advocates are tight-lipped, making Alex and Drew’s job that much harder! Soap alum Rebecca Staab (Elizabeth, PORT CHARLES; April, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) returns to the series as the Chronicle’s lifestyle editor, Eileen, Lochlyn Munro (RIVERDALE) plays the charismatic lifecoach Billy Garrett — and Alfonso guest stars as local law enforcer Sheriff Williams. (The character’s name, of course, is a wink to Hope Williams Brady!)
Alfonso and Sweeney were thrilled to reunite in Vancouver, Canada, late last year on the movie’s very rainy set. “So excited that Kristian is able to join us!” Sweeney (who is one of the movie’s executive producers) shared in an Instagram post when her friend’s casting was announced just days after Alfonso made her last DAYS appearance in October. For her part, Alfonso said she had a “blast” working with her friend, and shared to Instagram a behind-the-scenes sneak peek at the movie.
