All good things must come to an end, and so does Marci Miller’s run as Abigail Deveraux on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Her final episode aired on Nov. 19, and to mark the occasion, the actress shared a photo of herself doing her nails as she prepped for her screen test to hopefully land the role of Abigail. “Who would’ve thought?” she marveled. “This morning, I sit in the same exact spot knowing that today, my last episode will air as this beloved character. I reflect, and am grateful. I am better for having been a part of it all. Knowing I’ve laid her in a pair of loving and capable hands does me good .Thanks for the sweet, sweet, ride, Abby. My heart is full today.”
If you click or swipe to the right on the photo, you’ll see an emotional video taken months ago on the set as Miller hugs Melissa Reeves (Jennifer) and Camila Banus (Gabi) after taping her last scene and walking off stage to applause from the cast and crew.

This is a picture of me 2 yrs ago, painting my nails (and a dear friend’s while I’m at it) for a screen test the next morning to play a woman named Abigail Deveraux Dimera on Days of Our Lives. Who would’ve thought?! This morning I sit in the same exact spot knowing that today, my last episode will air as this beloved character. I reflect, and am grateful. I am better for having been a part of it all. Knowing I’ve laid her in a pair of loving and capable hands does me good. Thanks for the sweet ride, Abby. My heart is full today. Six months ago, after wrapping her final day of shooting on the NBC soap, Miller shared a video of her playing the piano and singing a low-key version of the classic song “I”ll Be Seeing You.”
“And just like that, two very meaningful years have come and gone,” Miller said. “I have been loved so well today. I will miss this cast. I will miss these people. I will miss this place. I am both heavy and light at the same time. Much love to all, you have left just the sweetest impression on me.”

After a series of roles in independent films, Miller joined the cast of DAYS in November of 2016, taking over the character last played earlier that year by Kate Mansi. Abigail returned from the dead and rekindled her relationship with Chad, although there were many obstacles that stood in their way. Most recently, Abigail was diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder after it was revealed she’d killed Andre DiMera. And although Miller is leaving, Abby’s story will still continue as Mansi, is returning to the role.
Shortly before announcing her exit from DAYS, Miller earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress for her work as Abigail. With talent like hers, she’s sure to go far. And we’ll be sure to keep you up to date on all her new projects as she pursues her career in Hollywood and beyond.
Take a look at some of the photos that Miller took on her emotional final day on the set in the gallery below.
