Rocco on GENERAL HOSPITAL— Everything You Need To Know
Kids grow up so fast these days it can be hard to keep track. Rocco Falconeri on GENERAL HOSPITAL has had some growth spurts that may have left some viewers a little confused. The kid’s origins were also quite complicated, so let us break it all down for you. Rocco was born in September 2013, and was played by a series of twins until 2016 when Mason Tannous debuted in the role. In April 2017, GH SORASed the kid a bit more when O’Neill Monahan took over as Rocco. Then, in November 2021, Brady Bauer stepped into Rocco’s shoes. In July 2022, the role was once again recast, this time with Finn Carr, who continues to make the occasional appearance.
Dr. Britt Westbourne claimed to be pregnant with Dr. Patrick Drake‘s baby, but it turned out she had implanted herself with Dante Falconeri and Lulu Falconeri‘s stolen embryo. Although Britt attempted to raise Baby Ben herself, Lulu grew suspicious that the infant was allergic to the same things as Dante. Felix helped Lulu do a DNA test and they learned that Dante is Ben’s father. Then, Elizabeth learned Lulu was Ben’s real mother and shared the truth with her. After Britt’s mother, Liesl Obrecht, kidnapped Ben, the tot was rescued and reunited with his real parents.
Dante and Lulu renamed the boy Rocco, but family life wasn’t easy when they were kidnapped by Stavros Cassadine and Olivia had to take care of her grandson. When Lulu broke up with Dante for cheating on her, she took Rocco with her and allowed Dante visits. Thankfully, they were able to repair their marriage and the family was reunited. Rocco also gained a sister when it was revealed that Charlotte Cassadine was Lulu’s daughter from another of her stolen embryos. The siblings were part of the wedding party when his grandmother, Olivia, married Ned Quartermaine.
Rocco’s life was turned upside down again when his father left Port Charles on a mission and then returned only briefly before seeking treatment for his PTSD. While Peter was babysitting, Rocco opened up and admitted he was angry that his father had left him. Peter explained his own complicated family situation and urged Rocco to understand that sometimes parents make mistakes.
Sadly, while Rocco got his father back when Dante finally returned home to Port Charles, he then lost his mother when Lulu was badly injured in an explosion and fell into a coma. By the following year, however, he didn’t seem particularly bothered that his dad was now dating Sam McCall. Rocco was seen again in July 2022 having lunch at the Metro Court with his dad and meeting Dante’s childhood pal, Cody Bell.
While Rocco was mentioned as he and Dante moved in with Sam, the boy wasn’t seen again until March 2024 when he was naturally upset when his father was shot in the line of duty. After arguing with Danny, Rocco calmed down when Laura stopped by and had a heart-to-heart with her grandson.
