ABC Developing Primetime Reboot of ALL MY CHILDREN With Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos!

Soap fans may be able to return to Pine Valley! ABC is reportedly developing a primetime version of ALL MY CHILDREN currently titled PINE VALLEY! Variety is reporting that the series would involve a young journalist with a mysterious agenda trying to expose the dark and murderous history of a town named Pine Valley only to become wrapped up in a feud between the Kane and Santos families.

AMC alums Kelly Ripa (Hayley) and Mark Consuelos (Mateo) are attached as executive producers on the series, with Lee Richardson set to write and executive produce. Richardson’s recent credits include writing and co-producing KATY KEENE for The CW as well as FOX’s STAR and the British soap EASTENDERS. Another one of the executive producers is Robert Nixon, the son of AMC’s original creator, Agnes Nixon.

Ripa and Consuelos are very familiar with Pine Valley and AMC, having both appeared on the long-running and much-missed daytime drama for many years in the late ‘90s. Ripa joined the cast as Hayley Vaughan back in 1990 and Consuelos began playing Mateo Santos in 1995. The couple met, fell in love, and got married, both leaving the soap in 2002, though they did appear again in 2010 for AMC’s 40th anniversary.

At this time, development on PINE VALLEY is in the extremely early stages, but the idea of being able to revisit the classic soap is still exciting.
