Cady McClain Mourns the Death of Her Dear Friend

Please join us in sending love and sympathy to actress Cady McClain, who is mourning the passing of a dear friend. Ronda Cole passed away at the age of 55 on July 8 surrounded by her family at home. “My beautiful, funny friend has left her body and is no longer suffering,” McClain shared on Instagram. “She will be missed by many but I have faith I will see her again.”

McClain — who is beloved to soap fans for her roles as ALL MY CHILDREN’s Dixie, AS THE WORLD TURNS’ Rosanna, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Kelly, and DAYS OF OUR LIVES’ Jennifer — waxed philosophical about the situation. “What is time but a concept?” she mused. “THat’s how it feels right now. A very useless idea that I currently desire to reject. Ronda has always been my friend, and always will be my friend. It’s just the way it is.”

Cole was born in Corning, NY, and after college, moved to New York City where she was able to pursue her passions which included painting and photography. “She was an artist who practiced many arts, one of which was painting,” McClain revealed. “You can check her fine art out here: www.rondacoleartist.com. And of the selfie that she chose to use with her heartfelt tribute, McClain knows it’s not her best. “Trust me, I know how ridiculous I look in this hat,” she joked, “but she looks great. So… she wins.” She also concluded her post with the hashtags “#foreverfriend,” “#beautygirl,” and “#artist.”
