Eva LaRue Discovers a Long-Lost Sister!
Long-lost siblings popping up unexpectedly are a relatively common occurrence in soap operas but in real life, not so much! However, ALL MY CHILDREN star Eva LaRue (Maria) found herself living that kind of wild daytime drama twist when she discovered a new sister thanks to an at-home DNA test!
“It’s a girl!” she joked on Instagram. “We expanded our family! Thanks to 23andMe we are suddenly four sisters (and brother, of course)! Sometimes, when you’re minding your own beeswax, life throws you a huge plot twist!”
Newfound sister Stacy Hiles Lynch (on the far right in the photo above and directly to the left of LaRue in the photo below) was also delighted to discover relatives she had never known existed before. “Thank you, 23andMe, for helping me find my family!” she exclaimed. “We have new cousins, uncles, aunts, and I have three new sisters! So much love to share! What an amazing weekend.”
In addition to her sisters Nikka and Lara (plus brother Luis), some of the rest of the extended LaRue clan gathered together to meet the Lynch family so all the relatives could get to know each other. “Our new family members fit right in like we’ve been together all along,” LaRue declared. “What a crazy miracle to be connected through relatively new DNA technology. So many feelings, revelations, and puzzles to wade through and piece together. How weird, wonderful, and incredible this life.”
When long-lost relatives show up on soaps they usually bring all kinds of drama with them (especially if they’re an evil twin!) but thankfully this particular family reunion was joyful and happy for everyone involved. Congratulations on the newly-extended clan!
