AMC Alum J.R. Martinez Graduates From Fordham University!

Tags:

Please join us in congratulating ALL MY CHILDREN actor J.R. Martinez (Brot) on his graduation from Fordham University! “Proud moment!” he exclaimed on Instagram with a series of photos of himself in his cap and gown celebrating alongside his wife, Diana, and their children, Lauryn (10), and Leo (9 months).

“Thank you to everyone who supported me on this journey,” Martinez added before cheering, “College grad!” He also added some inspirational hashtags like “#adaptandovercome,”  “#itsnevertoolate,” and “#youcandoittoo.”

Daytime fans remember Martinez for playing Iraq War vet Brot Monroe on AMC from 2008-11, a character that brought the actor’s real-life experience of being severely burned during combat to viewers everywhere. He has also appeared in an episode of ARMY WIVES as well as starring as firefighter/paramedic Alfonso Rivera in the syndicated series SAF3. Viewers will probably also recall his big win in the 13th season of DANCING WITH THE STARS.

Martinez is also a motivational speaker who has appeared all over the world, including a speaking engagement at Fordham University back in 2019. And now he’s a graduate of that same university!

Naturally, the comments on his Instagram posts were filled with congratulations from friends and fans, including some of his former AMC castmates. “Congrats!” cheered Rebecca Budig (Greenlee). And Alicia Minshew (Kendall) declared: “Just awesome! Congrats, love!”

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!
