Watch the ALL MY CHILDREN Reunion

As part of ABC’s celebration of Kelly Ripa’s 30 years with the network, her daytime talk show LIVE! WITH KELLY AND RYAN hosted a very special reunion with some of her former castmates from ALL MY CHILDREN. “For me, AMC was way more than a job,” Ripa admitted. “It was my family. Literally. It was where I met my husband, had my first two children, and where I met many of my lifelong friends. And it is so incredible to have some of my AMC family members here today.”

Naturally, Ripa’s husband, Mark Consuelos (Mateo) was part of the virtual reunion, and also joining in the fun was Eva LaRue (Maria), Walt Willey (Jack), Dondre Whitfield (Terrence), Finola Hughes (Alex/Anna), Cameron Mathison (Ryan), and Susan Lucci (Erica), who was actually in the studio with the hosts!

To kick things off, Lucci and Hughes shared stories of when they first met Ripa, and then co-host Ryan Seacrest naturally had to ask Consuelos about how he and Ripa fell in love on the set. “Contrary to popular actions, I wasn’t really interested in sexually harassing my future co-star,” Consuelos joked about his feelings during their screen test. Ripa quickly cut in to joke, “Didn’t stop me!”

Though the actor admitted that the was obviously smitten and enjoyed working with her. And Ripa, herself, confessed that she knew she was going to marry Consuelos because she had a dream about it soon after they met. Seacrest then quizzed Mathison about what it was like to kiss his friend’s wife when AMC used Ryan as a spoiler for Hayley and Mateo’s relationship and Mathison admitted that their first on-screen kiss was terrible and Consuelos had to show him how it should be done!

And after the former AMC stars shared their fond memories of meeting and working with Ripa, she then shared her own love for each of her former co-stars and friends.
