Accolades For Harmon’s Film Venture!

Tags:

THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’s Winsor Harmon (Thorne) was headed to Jerome, AZ, for the premiere of his new film, Cathedral Canyon, which opened the Jerome Indie Film & Music Festival this past weekend!

“I haven’t seen the finished product yet,” Harmon told Soaps In Depth of the movie, which has been five years in the making. “I wanted to be able to walk into the theater and see if for the first time on the big screen — that’s an actor’s dream.”

Harmon stars in the movie (which he also co-produced and co-directed) as Ryan McBride, a crooked businessman-turned-hero who seeks to save a young girl from a polygamist cult. “It’s based on true events that are happening in Arizona and surrounding states,” says the actor. “We’re trying to bring awareness to a situation happening right under our noses in this country. These poor little girls are being married off to the elders of the church, and the boys in these communities are being run out of town.”

Making cameos in the film are Lorenzo Lamas (ex-Hector, B&B), David Fralick (ex-Larry, Y&R) and Harmon’s on-screen “pop,” John McCook (Eric), who plays a drinking, gambling womanizer Senator in the film. “His role is pretty different from Eric Forrester,” says Harmon, “and my character is so unlike Thorne Forrester that it isn’t even funny. This is a guy who is a badass.

“This has been a labor of love for me,” he says of the project. “I’m very excited and happy about it.”
