Chapman Bumped From Contract!

THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Judith Chapman (Gloria) has switched to recurring status with the soap — but the actress isn’t going anywhere. Insiders are saying that the fan favorite will continue to appear on the show as story dictates.

Working in Genoa City (or, frankly, in any soap opera town) without a contract isn’t unusual these days. Chapman’s TV husband, Ted Shackelford (Jeffrey), and Gloworm bartender Sean Kanan (Deacon) also appear on Y&R on a recurring basis. Chapman joined the show in 2005, replacing Joan Van Ark in the role of Michael and Kevin’s unpredictable and outrageous mom.
