Coronavirus Outbreak Reported at Studio City, Home of Y&R and B&B

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has reported that three staffers at Television City have tested positive for COVID-19, though it did not specify which CBS production these employees worked for or in what capacity. This is the studio where THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL and THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS are taped.

Hackman Capital, the owner of the facility, released a statement that said the individuals had been sent home after testing positive and those who were in close contact with them went into self-quarantine. “The health and safety of the individuals who work at Television City Studios is paramount,” the company said. “We are complying with all requirements and will continue to evolve our protocols to ensure that our operations are proceeding in the safest and most responsible manner possible during this challenging period.”

B&B resumed production in June and Y&R joined them in July. Recently, THE LATE LATE SHOW with James Corden also returned to the studio to tape new episodes. However, Variety is reporting that their sources say that those shows were not affected by the outbreak. Hopefully, both B&B and Y&R can remain in production and continue telling their dramatic storylines uninterrupted.
