Ex-GL Star Gives Stephanie “Hope”!
Elvera Roussel, who played Hope Bauer Spaulding on GUIDING LIGHT from 1979-84, appears as a nurse on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL for a two-episode stint starting Wednesday, November 17. The actress will share screen time with Susan Flannery (Stephanie) and John McCook (Eric).
During her two-day B&B gig, Roussel also crossed paths off-camera with fellow GL alum Rick Hearst (Whip; Alan-Michael, GL). Although their characters were mother and son on GL, Roussel and Hearst never worked together on that soap. “Rick’s always been marvelously loving and gracious. We’ve exchanged information and I hope we stay in touch,” Roussel shares.
“I’m now hooked on B&B,” the actress adds. “The writing is fantastic and the production values are amazing.” As regular viewers of B&B know, Stephanie’s been going through a medical crisis in her current storyline. “It’s very important to share with viewers the realities of life,” Roussel notes. “No matter how glamorous your life may seem everyone has to deal with reality.”
