Scott Bailey (Sandy, GUIDING LIGHT) will be portraying real-life historical figure Bobby Kennedy in two episodes of the NBC primetime series AQUARIUS!
The actor, best known to daytime fans for his run on GL as well as his marriage to THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL and THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS star Adrienne Frantz (Amber), is slated to appear in the episodes airing on July 7 and July 14. And actually, this won’t be the first time Bailey portrayed the senator!
“An Indianapolis museum did a holographic recreation and presentation of the events after Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated,” he explains. “A couple of years ago I spent a whole week doing that exact speech word for word, movement by movement, so that they could create the hologram and put it in the museum. So when it came time to audition to play him in AQUARIUS, I’d already done the work!”
Bailey was thrilled to portray the historical figure, and also to work with series star David Duchovny. “It was great,” he enthuses. “He’s always ready and prepared.”
The show wove Duchovny’s fictional character into the real-life events by having him act as a member of the security detail protecting Kennedy in the events leading to his assassination. Jokes Bailey, “I don’t think there will be any more episodes for me!”
Don’t miss the first of Bailey’s appearances when AQUARIUS airs tonight at 10 p.m. ET on NBC!
