Learn the secrets behind making your favorite soaps when production designers Rick Dennis and Patrick Howe join host Alan Locher in The Locher Room on Thursday, Oct. 28, for an in-depth behind-the-scenes look at how a daytime drama is built from the ground up!

Dennis was GUIDING LIGHT’s production designer from 1986-2009 and earned seven Daytime Emmy Award nominations for his work on the soap. After GL’s cancellation, he went on to work on series like THE AMERICANS, HOMELAND, MADAME SECRETARY, and THE FOLLOWING.

Howe spent four years as a production designer on ANOTHER WORLD before moving to Oakdale and earning five Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Production Design during his 11 years at AS THE WORLD TURNS. Since then, he has worked on shows like ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING, GODFATHER OF HARLEM, MARVEL’S IRON FIST, THE GET DOWN, and UNFORGETTABLE.
