Is Sofia Pernas Leaving THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS For a New Primetime Role? — Here’s the Truth!
Sofia Pernas (Marisa) has landed a high-profile new gig, so what does that mean for her role on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS?
Deadline is reporting that Pernas has been cast as Coriander, an exotic gypsy, in the CW pilot TRANSYLVANIA. The series centers around a young woman who travels from NYC to Transylvania and teams up with a Scotland Yard detective to search for her missing father.
“I am so thrilled to announce this news!” Pernas shared on Twitter. “So happy to be on board with this monster of a show!”
The site also claimed that the actress had been let go from Y&R for budgetary reasons, but a spokesperson for the soap confirms that Pernas is on recurring status, so Marisa will continue to be seen in Genoa City.
