THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’s Karla Mosley Is Pregnant!

Tags:

Congratulations to THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL star Karla Mosley (Maya) who is pregnant with her first baby with boyfriend John Rogers! The actress shared the news on her Instagram with a photo of herself and her beau in the sunny desert as she points delightedly to her growing baby bump. “We are bleary-eyed just back from the desert but it seems the secret is out,” she posted. “We are extremely grateful for the well-wishes as we wait to meet our sweet little nugget this summer!”

Mosley broke into daytime with the role of Christina Moore Boudreau on the much-missed CBS sudser GUIDING LIGHT, and joined the cast of B&B in 2013 as Maya Avant. However, because her character was later revealed to be transgender, the actress’ real-life pregnancy would be impossible to write into her storyline the soap. In fact, a major plot on B&B last year was Maya and Rick asking her sister, Nicole, to act as their surrogate so they could have a child to raise together. So whenever Maya shows up on B&B this spring and summer, look for Mosley to be carefully framed or placed behind large bags or furniture to hide her growing baby bump from the camera!

Before breaking the happy news of her pregnancy, the actress was on hand to accept the award when B&B recently won the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Daily Drama for telling Maya’s storyline. “So proud and grateful,” she shared on Instagram. “Cheers to the incredible actors who play with me every day.”
