THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL Spoilers — Will Steffy Adopt Hope’s Baby?
Steffy is adopting Hope’s baby but that’s just the beginning of the explosive drama in these THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL spoilers! But even as Taylor helps Steffy buy the baby she wants, Ridge grows suspicious of the whole enterprise. Will someone learn that Steffy is adopting Hope and Liam’s presumed-dead daughter?
Liam and Hope were absolutely devastated when Dr. Buckingham announced that their newborn baby didn’t survive, but what they didn’t know is that Reese had swapped out Beth with another infant so that he could sell it to raise money to cover his debts and save his daughter, Zoe. With partner-in-crime Florence posing as the birth mother, Reese was able to offer up the little girl to Taylor as a potential child for Steffy to adopt. “I could be bringing home your new granddaughter,” Steffy marvels to her mother.
But when Ridge catches sight of Taylor’s briefcase full of cash, he’s immediately suspicious. “Are you kidding me?!” he gasps. “What is this? How much money is here?!” Meanwhile, Flo is having second thoughts about this whole scheme. “I’m gonna be breaking the law,” she worries. But Reese reminds her that there’s no going back. “We crossed that line a while ago,” he sighs.
And so as Flo and Steffy sit down with Carter to make the adoption official, everyone is on edge. “All we need is your signature,” the attorney says, pulling out a pen. Will someone have second thoughts? Might Ridge step in to put a stop to the whole thing? “Why does something about this not feel right?” he wonders aloud. Or will Liam’s daughter be given an adopted sister… who is also her biological sister? “There’s something about you,” Liam muses as he looks down at the baby girl.
