Y&R’s Bryton James Shares the Life Lessons He Learned From Kristoff St. John (EXCLUSIVE)
Actor Bryton James (Devon) gave THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS high marks for the tale surrounding Neil’s shocking death, which also paid tribute to the character’s portrayer, the late Kristoff St. John. “The show did an amazing job putting it together. And once the story was in place, it was up to all of us — not just me — to feel our real feelings for what had happened to our friend,” he shared quietly with Soaps In Depth. “I spoke from my own heart when I was given the words to say about Neil. We all wanted to experience the grief and then move past it in a healthy way together.”

That includes never forgetting the lessons that his on-screen father taught him in both his personal and professional life. “With Kristoff, I witnessed somebody go through unimaginable circumstances and still choose to bring so much joy and happiness every day,” James said. “I learned how to conduct yourself, be a professional person and a great human being. It’s a life lesson that I will never forget!”
