Eva LaRue Opens up About Joining the Cast of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS (EXCLUSIVE)

Actress Eva LaRue had more reasons to be happy to play THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS‘ Celeste than thinking the gig would be fun. “The morning after the soap called, my dad died,” she revealed to Soaps In Depth. “That was really tough, but Y&R gave me something else to focus on. It was the perfect distraction. It was just the thing I needed, with the excitement and happiness of tackling this role juxtaposed with the sadness.”

“It literally could not have been better,” LaRue said of her welcome to Y&R. (Photo Credit: Howard Wise/jpistudios.com)
Already knowing many of the cast and crew helped LaRue settle in quickly. “Producers, writers, directors that I worked with [as Maria] on ALL MY CHILDREN. And so many actors! I ran into Thorsten Kaye (Ridge, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL; formerly AMC’s Zach). Joshua Morrow (Nick) and I just did a movie together about a year and a half ago. Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) and I have been friends forever. Peter Bergman (Jack) and I have been friends for 30 years, and we got to work together for the first time. I felt like I was enveloped in this warm hug!”
