THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Mishael Morgan Mourns the Death of Her Father, Michael

Please join us in sending love to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS star Mishael Morgan (Amanda) who is mourning the loss of her beloved father, Michael Morgan. “No words,” she shared on Instagram with a broken-heart emoji and an image of his memorial invitation. Michael was 67 at the time of his passing on Nov. 5.
Morgan’s friends and castmates offered their sympathies via social media. Bree Williamson (ex-Claudette, GENERAL HOSPITAL; Jessica, ONE LIFE TO LIVE) posted: “I am so, so sorry, honey.” Y&R‘s Brytni Sarpy (Elena) declared: “Sending you so much love.” Melissa Ordway (Abby) offered, “I’m so sorry,” and Bryton James (Devon) promised: “Here for you, always.”
Last August, Morgan shared a family photo from her father’s 66th birthday party where he was holding his grandson, Niam, in his lap. “Happy Birthday, Daddy and Grandpa!” she exclaimed. You’ll note that the picture was taken while she was pregnant with her daughter, Naliyah, who was born just a few months later. This was also after Morgan had left Y&R and her character of Hilary Curtis had been written out of the soap.
Our thoughts are with Morgan and her entire family during this difficult time. For more on your favorite Y&R stars, keep reading the CBS edition of Soaps In Depth magazine.
