THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS Comings and Goings — Ryan Ashton Joins the Cast!

There’s a hot new hunk coming to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS! The soap has announced that Ryan Ashton has been cast as Zack, and he will make his debut in the episode scheduled to air on Thursday, May 18.

Zack is described as “a confident entrepreneur who recently arrived in Genoa City.” And we’re sure the handsome young man will catch more than a couple ladies’ eyes when he shows up. Abby’s been single for far too long after splitting up with Stitch, so perhaps Zack will be part of her new business venture? There’s also Summer, but she hasn’t been around much lately, so she’ll probably miss out. Of course, there’s no shortage of beautiful women on the soap for him to pursue — and they don’t even have to be single!

Ashton is an actor and writer living in Los Angeles who has appeared in Allegiant, the third film in the Divergent film series. He also stars in a series of comedic viral videos as Guy Nottadadi talking about safe sex issues for Bedsider. Like this one where he whips up a light snack while discussing birth control!

MUST SEE: Corbin Bernsen Returns to Y&R as Father Todd!

Y&R has been doing quite a bit of casting of new faces these days, with Cait Fairbanks joining the soap as Tessa and Laur Allen appearing as Juliet. Plus, Max Shippee is on his way to Genoa City as Graham Bloodworth, and Lily and Cane’s twins, Charlie and Mattie being SORAS-ed into teenagers played by Noah Alexander Gerry and Lexie Stevenson.
