Sasha Calle Was Injured for Lola and Kyle's Wedding on Y&R

Weddings are a pretty big deal on soaps, so it’s not surprising that a lot of fans were cheering on the day that THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Lola and Kyle finally got hitched. Unfortunately, the bride’s portrayer, Sasha Calle, couldn’t exactly waltz down the aisle for her TV wedding the way she had envisioned. “I sprained my ankle the day before,” she revealed to Soaps In Depth with a groan. “I had never sprained my ankle before, and then I had to stand all day as well as walk down the [aisle]. It was very difficult and challenging because I had to fight through the pain!”

The powers that be tried to help Calle as much as possible. “Luckily, they allowed me to wear my sneakers,” she laughed. And despite the difficulties of the day, Calle enjoyed her first soap wedding. “It was a lot of fun. The set was incredibly beautiful, and everybody was so supportive!”
