TV Icon Guest Stars On Y&R

Actor Eddie Mekka — who has a permanent place in pop culture history for playing Carmine “The Big Ragu” Ragusa on LAVERNE & SHIRLEY — will guest star on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS as diner owner Bud for several episodes, beginning Friday, October 7.

Since his LAVENE & SHIRLEY days, Mekka has kept himself busy in local theater and Broadway productions, as well as varied television roles on ER, THE SUITE LIFE OF ZACK & CODY, FAMILY MATTERS and 24. His previous visits to daytime include playing a summons process server on SUNSET BEACH, the Las Vegas minister who presided over Thomas and Gabby’s wedding, and as Jenna’s sidekick, Grady, on GUIDING LIGHT from 1992-’93.
