The decision was left up to Eric when Thorne and Thomas demanded a regime change, hoping he would oust Rick as president of Forrester Creations. After reviewing the recent sales numbers, Eric saw that many large orders had been placed following the showing, so he decided that Rick should remain on as Forrester’s president. Rick, Hope, Caroline and many others on staff celebrated the company’s triumph, but Thorne and Thomas sulked. Maya let Carter know she was going to confess to Rick about the night he stayed at her apartment. Trying to help Caroline reunite with Rick, Rafael encouraged Carter to pursue Maya. When Caroline’s request to spend the evening with Rick was denied, she told him about Maya’s night with Carter. Rick was furious with Caroline, thinking she was scheming again, but when he confronted Maya about what he’d just learned, and was shocked to hear Maya acknowledge it was true.
