What You Missed On Yesterday’s Y&R!

Due to issues between CBS and Time Warner, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS and THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL are not currently being aired in several markets. To help those impacted, we’ll be offering daily recaps.

Wednesday, August 14

Summer stayed over at Jack’s place. Jack continued to sympathize with her over Phyllis’ condition, and invited her out to lunch for further bonding. Yet at On The Boulevard they ran into Kyle who was clearly on a date. Recognizing Summer’s discomfort, Jack suggested that they continue their lunch date somewhere else, but she said that she had to adjust to the situation since she couldn’t avoid her new half brother forever. Alas, that was easier than done, and after witnessing Kyle flirt with the unknown woman, a tearful Summer ran off! At the ranch, Nick tended to Sharon’s sprained ankle. Sharon received a photo traffic ticket in the mail, and realized that she’d gotten racing to the M.S. benefit, where she fought with Phyllis! When Nick questioned her about it, she brushed it off, saying that it was just the DMV letting her know that she needed to get her driver’s license renewed. Adam arrived to ask Sharon to be his character witness against Melanie. Overhearing, Nick warned his ex not to have anything to do with Adam! After both men left, Sharon gleefully told Cassie that her plan to win back Nick appeared to be working. At Newman Enterprises, Victor gave a statement to the media saying that he was fully supportive of Adam, and believed the rape charges were completely bogus. Of course, that didn’t stop him from later calling his P.I. to order him to dig into his youngest son’s life until he found out what agenda Adam seemed to be hiding! Later, Victor went to On The Boulevard, and immediately argued with Jack over which family Summer rightfully belonged to! Upon arriving, Nick ordered his dad to calm down, since all the fighting only confirmed Summer’s fear that she’d be the one to ignite the next Newman-Abbott feud! Across town, Neil read the blog post that was in response to his apology and attempt to get the blogger to reveal themselves. Unfortunately, the blogger wasn’t mollified, calling Neil a murderer and refusing to reveal their identity until Neil lost more than they had! Cane noticed Hilary reading the blog post. After scanning it, the Aussie said he didn’t believe for a second that Neil had killed someone! Meanwhile, Tyler told Noah that he planned to go back to work at Jabot with the stipulation that they also hire him as one of their photographers.

Do you think Sharon should be a character witness for Adam? And could Summer’s paternity ignite the next Newman-Abbott feud? Share your thoughts in the comments!
