On the anniversary of her very first appearance on ALL MY CHILDREN, Melissa Claire Egan shared a video of her first day on the set rehearsing with co-star Cameron Mathison (Ryan)!
The actress, who now stars as Chelsea on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, made her AMC debut on July 10, 2006. “A taped rehearsal of my first day on AMC,” she wrote. “Notice me like a deer in the headlights taking it all in and getting super distracted as the director calls the camera shots during rehearsal!
“And my Cammy Cam looking out for me,” she added, “as he continued to do, personally and professional, for so many years. What a special time and special show. Feeling very grateful and nostalgic today.”

10 YEARS AGO TODAY, say whaaaat?!😆 Pretty sure all of my "okay's" here were really me masking my internal monologue of "holy shit, what's happening?!?!!" A taped rehearsal of my first day on "All My Children." Notice me like a deer in headlights taking it all in and getting super distracted as the director calls the camera shots during rehearsal😄 And my Cammy Cam @cameronmathison looking out for me, as he continued to do, personally and professionally for so many years… What a special time and special show. Feeling very grateful and nostalgic today💗
Egan was clearly nervous making her daytime debut, but as AMC viewers know, she was amazing for the nearly five years she resided in Pine Valley. And she clearly has the secret to the Fountain of Youth because she doesn’t seem to have aged a day in the past ten years!
