Zenk Takes On A Legend
AS THE WORLD TURNS’ Colleen Zenk played one of daytime’s most legendary characters as Barbara Ryan, and she’s about to take on yet another legendary role as she will be starring as Tallulah Bankhead in the Regional Theatre premiere of Looped at Stageworks/Hudson. Based on a true story, the inebriated actress is called upon to re-record one line of dialogue from her film Die! Die! My Darling! and in the process, botches every take and faces off against her uptight film editor. Valerie Harper starred in the Broadway production of the comedy, and Stephanie Powers took over for her and took the show on tour. Zenk says “I will be only the third actor to take on this challenging, extraordinary, hilarious role. I am overwhelmed, excited and can’t wait for rehearsals to begin!”
Looped will run from Wednesday, July 10, through Sunday, July 28, at Stageworks/Hudson in Hudson, NY. For more information and to order tickets, you can visit their Web site by clicking here.
