Aketra Sevillian Exits DAYS OF OUR LIVES

Get ready to say goodbye to another Salem resident! Aketra Sevillian is leaving DAYS OF OUR LIVES where she has been playing Talia Hunter since March 2023. In their newest issue, Soap Opera Digest is reporting that her final episode will air on Tuesday, Oct. 17.

After appearing in shows like GROWN-ISH, GRAND CREW, and THE SEX LIVES OF COLLEGE IRLS, Sevillian made her daytime debut when she joined the cast of DAYS as Talia, the younger sister of Jada Hunter. She cozied up to Chanel Dupree, but it turned out that was all part of a nasty scheme cooked up by her abusive boyfriend, Colin Bedford, who wanted revenge on Chanel, who he blamed for his mother’s death.

After that storyline’s thrilling climax, Talia managed to make things right with Chanel and confessed she did have genuine feelings for her. The former doctor also managed to get her career back on track when she landed a job working at the hospital. Unfortunately, after Chanel picked Johnny, Talia got drunk and slept with Shawn, a married man.

Talia is just going back to California, though, so it’s entirely possible that she could come back again to visit her sister. (Not that even death can keep characters from popping back up again on DAYS!) It’s just a shame that she’s leaving Salem on such bad terms!
