Brandon Barash Welcomes His Baby Boy!
Please join us in congratulating Brandon Barash (Stefan, DAYS OF OUR LIVES; ex-Johnny, GENERAL HOSPITAL) and his wife, Isabella, on the birth of their son! “Joaquin Lee Barash arrived on the planet on Sept. 15, 2023,” the proud papa announced on Instagram. “A mighty name for a mighty boy… to honor my (departed but never gone) father, Jerry Lee Barash, as well as my wife’s Hispanic heritage.”
The photos in the carousel include a selfie of the happy family together, a photo of Joaquin being held by his big sister, Harper (9), and a shot of Joaquin with all his stats including the time of his birth at 2:08 a.m., his weight of 7 pounds, .5 ounces, and length of 19 1/2 inches.
“We. Are. Smitten,” Barash declared. “And forever changed. Through your birth, little man, we are reborn. Our family is mightier, our ocean of love runs deeper and more fierce. School’s back in session.”
Barash made his daytime debut when he joined the cast of GH as Johnny Zacharra in September 2007. After his exit in March 2013, he returned for some brief appearances in 2014 and 2016. In March 2019, the actor took over the role of DAYS‘ Stefan DiMera from Tyler Christopher. After Stefan was killed off, Barash began playing his twin brother, Jake, until his death when Stefan was resurrected. (it’s complicated!)
Naturally, the comments filled up with love and congratulations from fans and friends, including some of Barash’s co-stars past and present. “Congrats!” Jen Lilley (Theresa) gushed. “Also, he is so cute! And we all know most babies aren’t right out of the gate!”
Joaquin certainly is a beautiful little baby and we can’t wait to see more adorable photos as the little guy grows up!
