Brandon Beemer Says Goodbye to DAYS OF OUR LIVES
Yes, that was Brandon Beemer’s last episode of DAYS OF OUR LIVES when Shawn announced his intention to go to rehab out of town in the Oct. 12 show. “Another fun run!” the actor declared on X (formerly Twitter). “What’s next?”
Beemer made his daytime debut when he took over the role of Shawn-Douglas Brady from Jason Cook in September 2006. His initial run lasted until 2008, and while Cook reprised the role for the soap’s 50th anniversary in 2015, Beemer was back as Shawn in 2016. He then made appearances of varying lengths in subsequent years before becoming a regular again in 2020.
Beemer’s exit is just one of many currently happening on DAYS. TV wife Martha Madison’s Belle is also on her way out, and Nadia Bjorlin’s Chloe just left Salem with John-Paul Lavoisier’s Philip. Also, Camila Banus is wrapping up her latest run as Gabi.
After his first exit from DAYS, Beemer starred as Owen Knight on CBS sudser THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL from 2008-12, and has appeared in primetime series like CSI: IMAMI, THE AGENCY, and 9-1-1: LONE STAR. The actor can also be seen in movies like Non-Stop, Wedding Planner Mystery, Dead Trigger, Life With Dog, and Gates of Darkness.
