With Paulina in a health crisis on DAYS OF OUR LIVES, Lamon Archey and Sal Stowers will bring their characters, Eli and Lani, back to Salem to check in on her mom next week. According to Soap Opera Digest, the twosome will be back on the canvas for a short visit beginning on the Monday, Feb. 26, episode.

The actors left the show together back in 2022 when they both went off-contract, and while each individually made a short return last year, this comeback will mark the first joint reappearance for Eli and Lani. “I was excited to see Sal,” Archey told the outlet. “It had been a long time since I had had any scenes with her, so it was definitely good to come back and work with Sal again.”

Archey was also glad to catch up with other DAYS colleagues, like Jim Reynolds (Abe) and TV grandmother Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie). “Anytime I go there, I always go to her room and see if she’s in there, whether I have a scene with her or not,” he confessed. “I always try to touch base with her.”

Archey, who previously played the recurring character of Mason Wilder from 2012-14 on CBS sudser THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, joined the cast of DAYS as Eli Grant back in February 2017. Stowers got her big break as the winner of cycle 9 of the reality competition series AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, and she parlayed her modeling success into an acting career. In 2013, she joined the cast of the online revival of ABC soap ALL MY CHILDREN, playing Angie Hubbard’s daughter, Cassandra Foster. After joining DAYS in September 2015, Stowers exited in June 2016 but was back to reprise the role by December of that year.

Even though it had been a while since he and Stowers had worked together, Archey confessed it was was “easy” to get back into the groove of portraying Eli and Lani again. “It was definitely good to get back in the mix of things with Sal and have some scenes with her,” he admitted. “It’s always great working with Sal. Our friendship goes well beyond DAYS. I knew her before [the show] so there’s never the thing where we have to get used to each other again or feel like we have to dust off the cobwebs.”

The actor hopes viewers will enjoy the comeback as much as he and Stowers did. “I’m sure it will be really exciting for the fans to be able to see Eli and Lani together again.”
