Louise Sorel Returns to DAYS OF OUR LIVES!
As Salem prepares to say goodbye to Victor Kiriakis, some familiar faces are heading back home for the funeral. And now the guest list is expanding by one more — Louise Sorel is returning to DAYS OF OUR LIVES as Vivian!
People is reporting that the actress will first appear in the episode streaming on Friday, Sept. 8, and will be stirring up trouble in the wake of Victor’s death.
Sorel debuted as Vivian Alamain back in 1992 and has portrayed the schemer on and off over the years. Though Marj Dusay, Robin Strasser, and Linda Dano have all taken turns in Vivian’s shoes when Sorel was unavailable for various reasons.
Longtime DAYS fans will recall that Vivian married Victor early on in an attempt to maintain some power when she lost control of the Alamain family business. But it was a brief union, and he quickly left her for Kate. Over the years, Vivian has gone out of her way to destroy Victor’s subsequent marriages.
The last time that Vivian was seen on screen was in 2021, and the character was played by Dano for a brief run where the villainess kidnapped Eli and Lani’s twins, a crime that landed her in prison. But it was Sorel’s voice that was heard in a phone call (still from behind bars) in January 2023 when she called her son, Stefan.
Is Vivian out on a temporary release to attend Victor’s funeral (like Lani was for Abe)? Or has she been set free so she can take her time wreaking havoc in Salem? You’ll have to stay tuned and find out!
