DAYS Star Marci Miller Gives Birth To a Daughter!
Congratulations to DAYS OF OUR LIVES’ Marci Miller (Abigail) on the birth of her first child! The actress and her husband, Ryan Matteson, welcomed daughter Willet James on March 13. The couple shared coordinating baby announcements on their Instagram posts on March 28.
“And just like that, we see in colors that we never knew existed,” wrote Miller, sharing a selection of black-and-white photos of the new family of three at home taken by photographer Marissa De la Torre. The actress also revealed that baby Willie made a rather grand entrance into the world! “[She] interrupted her parents’ game of blackjack at a mountain casino to be born March 13th in the midst of a blizzard. She has us over the moon.”
In a post of his own, Matteson offered six additional photos, showing off the first pictures of the trio as a family in the hospital, a few close-ups of his little girl, and a pair of his wife and daughter bonding at home on their couch. “My heart could not be larger,” Matteson wrote. “Our little 6-pound, 10-ounce Willet James Matteson joined us air breathers on March 13 during a Denver white-out blizzard. Mom and Dad are ecstatic. And tired.”
Miller and Matteson are college sweethearts, having met at Bethel College in Indiana, and celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary in November. While the actress never publicly announced her pregnancy, DAYS fans began to wonder in recent weeks if she was in fact hiding a baby bump underneath Abby’s long coats and strategically placed props. There’s no word on how long Miller’s maternity leave might be.
