Peacock Pulls DAYS OF OUR LIVES: BEYOND SALEM

Heads up for DAYS OF OUR LIVES fans — Peacock removed both seasons of the spinoff BEYOND SALEM from the streaming service on Sept. 21. And while there was no warning as there was with BEYOND SALEM as time was running out, the holiday movie A Very Salem Christmas was also pulled. Don’t worry, DAYS itself will continue to stream new episodes weekdays on Peacock (in fact, the soap just celebrated its first anniversary on the network!).

The first five-episode season of BEYOND SALEM premiered on Sept. 6, 2021, and featured popular characters from DAYS traveling the globe involved in a massive scheme to recover stolen jewels to complete the Alamanian Peacock (which turned out to be a weapon!). Season two debuted on July 11, 2022, and centered around Megan Hathaway’s search for three magical prisms needed to bring someone back to life.

The two mini-series featured regular characters from DAYS joined by returning fan favorites like Lisa Rinna as Billie, Eileen Davidson as Kristen, Thomas, and Sister Mary Moira, Christie Clark as Carrie, and Austin Peck as Austin. And season two reunited Kristian Alfonso and Peter Reckell as Bo and Hope, even if it was just in the afterlife for the time being.

After the success of the two BEYOND SALEM series and the holiday movie on Peacock, DAYS itself ended its run on NBC to move to its streaming platform, first airing there on Sept. 12, 2022. And fans don’t need to worry about the soap going anywhere anytime soon. Back in March, it was announced that the soap had been renewed for another two years, taking it through to 2025 when it will celebrate its 60th anniversary.
