Richard Steinmetz Joins the Cast of DAYS OF OUR LIVES
A familiar face is headed to Salem when Richard Steinmetz joins the cast of DAYS OF OUR LIVES! “Some good news,” the actor shared on Facebook. “I landed a role on the soap DAYS OF OUR LIVES. I start shooting tomorrow. It’s a terrific role, not sure if I can say what it is yet but I’ll keep you posted. And when the episodes start airing.”
Steinmetz made his daytime debut back in 1988 playing Jeff Hartman on ABC soap LOVING, but he was probably best known to soap fans for playing Martin Fitzgerald on PASSIONS from 2004-06. In 2012, the actor joined the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL for a three-month run as the villainous Joe Scully Jr. Viewers might also recognize him from appearances in primetime series like MELROSE PLACE, SILK STALKINGS, CROSSING JORDAN, COLD CASE, MONK, and BETTER THINGS.
Although most soaps tape about a month ahead, DAYS is usually a little further ahead than that, so if Steinmetz is first reporting to the set on May 25, it could be well into July before we see him on screen.
