Tamara Braun Explains Why She’s Been Missing in Action

Over the course of her career, Tamara Braun has earned lots and lots of fans who have followed her from GENERAL HOSPITAL (Carly and Kim) to ALL MY CHILDREN (Reese), and to DAYS OF OUR LIVES (Taylor and Ava). They also enjoy following the actress on social media, but she’s been a little absent of late. However, a recent post on her birthday explained why.

“I’ve been MIA for the last month,” Braun confessed on Instagram, sharing a childhood photo. “It’s been a lot of heavy life and death stuff. Two father figures left this Earth. I still can’t really talk about or discuss it. My heart breaks too much and I must stay the course.

“But, I found this photo at my father’s home,” she continued. “I remember my grandmother taking me to Sears to get this photo. The crossed legs. The hands. The uneven braids. I look at that little girl with her bright eyes and her smile and I am reminded what a strong little one she was amidst all that was going on around her at the time. I am reminded that my brothers and sisters were also strong little ones and are now strong and loving big ones. I am so grateful for the love we have for one another and the healing that is happening for us through our loss.”

While Braun has been dealing with a lot of personal issues recently, she was inspired to reach out to her fans on her birthday. “Today, on this day of my birth, I am reminded that life is for living, for smiling, for crying, for feeling all the feels, and for learning and growing,” she declared. “It’s for sharing love and doing our best amidst the chaos. It’s for love. Love. Today I wish this little girl and the big one she has grown into a happy birthday. I’m glad she’s still here trying to figure things out and has the chance to share love with others.

“Happy birthday, Tam Tam,” she concluded. “Another trip around the sun. And thank you all for your kindness and the love you consistently share with me. I appreciate you.”
