Wendy Shin on DAYS OF OUR LIVES — Everything You Need To Know

Wendy Shin has arrived on DAYS OF OUR LIVES and some viewers might be wondering who she is… at least those who didn’t watch BEYOND SALEM! The character debuted during season two of the spinoff, and now actress Victoria Grace has brought Wendy to Salem where she’s going to get mixed up in all kinds of drama! Here’s what you need to know about the newcomer…

Jing-Wen Shin, also known as Wendy Shin first appeared in Seattle when Tripp Dalton and Joey Johnson found her in their apartment after she broke in. She explained that she is the younger sister of Li Shin, and was trying to help him find one of the mysterious prisms that everyone was after so she could finally get out of her menial IT job in Alaska. The trio flirted together and then headed to Hong Kong where Wendy got them tickets to the ball.

Things at the party took a turn when John Black and Steve Johnson took Wendy hostage and she told Li not to give them the prism. After the guys were distracted, Wendy gave them the slip, and Joey and Tripp held Steve down while she grabbed his gun. Her actions impressed Li enough that he decided to give her a promotion, and while Tripp and Joey were both interested in her, she ended up turning them down, not wanting to come between brothers.

Later, Wendy arrived in Salem to talk to her brother, not happy with her promotion to head of IT because it was still in Fairbanks. She wanted to work for DiMera in Salem, but he refused to discuss it and tried to pawn her off on their father. Knowing she’d get nowhere with her sexist dad, Wendy decided finding out why Li was so concerned with Stefan DiMera would be her ticket. After running into Johnny DiMera at the family mansion, the pair realized that their goals to figure out what was going on with Li and Stefan coincided and decided to work together.
