Backstage Secrets From Soap Director Phideaux Xavier

Learn all about what it takes to bring your favorite daytime dramas to the screen when Emmy Award-winning director and musician Phideaux Xavier joins host Alan Locher for a very special live chat in The Locher Room on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 3 p.m. ET!

GENERAL HOSPITAL fans will recognize Xavier’s name as one of the current directors on the ABC sudser, and they might even recognize his face following his on-screen appearance performing one of his original songs in an episode of GH (he’s also written tunes for the Nurses Ball). But his daytime career actually spans 25 years and multiple soaps!

Xavier began his career under his original name of Scott Riggs as a student intern at GUIDING LIGHT in New York City, working his way up to production assistant, associate director, writer, and director. While in the Big Apple, he also directed at ANOTHER WORLD, ONE LIFE TO LIVE, AS THE WORLD TURNS, and ALL MY CHILDREN before heading to the West Coast where he helped episodes of SUNSET BEACH, PASSIONS, DAYS OF OUR LIVES, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS and finally GH.

With all those soaps and 25 years in daytime to talk about, this is one chat you’re not going to want to miss!
