Cameron Mathison Stars in a Romantic New Holiday Movie!

Tags:

Back in May, GENERAL HOSPITAL star Cameron Mathison (Drew) took a brief break from his daytime duties to work on a Christmas film in Ontario. And now fans can finally see the results of the romantic movie he filmed with actress Jill Wagner, A Merry Christmas Wish!

Previously titled The Christmas Farm while it was in production, the movie is slated to debut on Saturday, November 12, at 8 p.m. ET on cable network Great American Family. A Merry Christmas Wish follows Janie, a New York City marketing exec who returns to her hometown of Woodland Falls after her great-uncle passes away. To Janie’s surprise, Uncle Randall has gifted her the family homestead, her childhood home, and she’s not quite sure whether to keep or sell the property. Despite having a boyfriend waiting for her back in Manhattan, Janie agrees to honor her uncle’s final wish, that she sticks around Woodland Falls to plan and host the town’s annual Winter Wonderland festival at the family farm. Uncle Randall even arranged for her childhood friend Dylan — who is obsessed with Christmas — to help Janie plan the celebration. And as the calendar creeps closer to Christmas, Janie begins to feel an unexpected tug about living her life in a more authentic, meaningful way.

With some help from Dylan, Janie realizes that she needs to take her life in a new direction.GAF Media

“It’s amazing and we can’t wait to share it with all of you. You guys are going to love this,” the GH star shared in a behind-the-scenes video for the movie. “I play Dylan. He’s like Mr. Christmas, in a way, and he’s trying to bring Janie back to her roots. Or just remind her of what’s important in life.”

Check out a preview of the new holiday film below, and then tune in to watch A Merry Christmas Wish this Saturday!
