Who Is Betty on GENERAL HOSPITAL?

A new face spells trouble in Port Charles! Avery’s new nanny on GENERAL HOSPITAL is being played by daytime newcomer Ella Lentini, and she made her debut in the July 24 episode of the soap

Lentini might look familiar to viewers from her various roles in primetime series like LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIM’S UNIT and 9-1-1 or movies like Disconnect and Art Show Bingo. The actress’s performance was also motion captured for the horror videogame Until Dawn, where she played the characters of twin sisters Hannah and Beth.

Blackmailed by Mason, Ava Jerome was been tasked with digging up information on Sonny Corinthos that Mason’s boss could use against him. But when she came up short, the new plan became firing Avery’s nanny, Pilar, so they can install one of their own people in the Corinthos household to do the spying. And that’s when Betty Rutherford entered the picture.

Betty arrived at Wyndemere and informed Ava this wasn’t an interview and the job was already hers. It was Ava’s job to sell her to Sonny, and if she didn’t there would be consequences. After learning that her mother, Delia Ryan, was in danger, Ava refused to play along anymore. Betty slapped Ava across the face to remind her who was in charge here, and that’s when Sonny walked in. Ava introduced him to the new nanny, and Betty turned on the charm with her new boss. Sonny informed Betty he and Ava would discuss the situation and give her their decision tomorrow.
