Ellen Travolta Is Coming Back to GENERAL HOSPITAL!

The whole family is going to be together for the big wedding! Hot on the heels of the news that the role of Carmine Cerullo would be returning to the soap for the occasion comes confirmation that Ellen Travolta will be returning to GENERAL HOSPITAL to reprise her role of Gloria Cerullo!

When it was announced that George Russo would be taking over the role of Carmine Cerullo (originally played by John Capodice back in the ‘90s), fans naturally assumed that Travolta would be accompanying him as Gloria so that both of Brook Lynn’s grandparents would be attending her nuptials. Russo’s appearance was reported as being in mid-May, but now Soap Opera Digest is more specifically saying that Travolta’s return will be during the week of May 13.

Older sister to John Travolta, the actress is probably best known for her roles on sitcoms like HAPPY DAYS and WELCOME BACK KOTTER. She debuted as Gloria on GH back in the mid-‘90s and reprised her role for a handful of episodes around Thanksgiving 2023.

Back in the day, Lois’ parents weren’t entirely thrilled with her decision to marry Ned Quartermaine. Gloria and Carmine eventually came around on Ned (although naturally, weren’t thrilled when it was later revealed that he was also married to Katherine Bell at the same time!), so hopefully, both of Brook Lynn’s grandparents approve of her tying the knot with Chase.

It’s unlikely that Brook Lynn and Chase’s wedding day will be entirely free of drama, but with luck, Gloria and Carmine won’t be the ones creating it!
