George Russo Cast as Carmine Cerullo on GENERAL HOSPITAL
The family is coming together for Brook Lynn’s wedding with George Russo cast as her grandfather, Carmine Cerullo on GENERAL HOSPITAL!
Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Carmine will be appearing in mid-May, so make sure you save the date as that’s likely when Brook Lynn will be tying the knot with Chase!
Russo’s career stretches back to the late ‘80s and he has appeared in television series like NYPD BLUE, GHOST WHISPERER, SHAMELESS, and WINNING TIME: THE RISE OF THE LAKERS DYNASTY. Most recently the actor could be seen in the Paramount+ mini-series THE OFFER.
Carmine first appeared on GH back in 1994 and was played by actor John Capodice. He arrived alongside his wife, Gloria Cerullo, and ran a sporting goods store in Port Charles for a while. Like Gloria, Carmine wasn’t sure Ned was right for Lois but eventually came around.
The character hasn’t been seen since 1996, but he’ll be back in May 2024 for his granddaughter’s big day. There has been no official word from the soap yet if Ellen Travolta will once again be reprising her role of Gloria, but it would be wonderful if Brook Lynn could have both her grandparents there when she becomes Mrs. Harrison Chase!
