Preview Cameron Mathison’s New Show!
This June, GENERAL HOSPITAL star Cameron Mathison (Drew) will take on double duty as game show host when his new Game Show Network series, BEAT THE BRIDGE, premieres on the cable channel. And now, he’s shared a sneak peek at the exciting new series!
“Your newest game show host reporting for duty,” Mathison announced on Instagram. “Head over to the Game Show Network YouTube for your first look at the show, and don’t miss BEAT THE BRIDGE premiering this June! I can’t wait for you guys to see this.”
In the promo, Mathison called BEAT THE BRIDGE the “next big thing” for the Game Show Network as the camera pans back to show a huge, interactive bridge across the studio floor. Explaining the rules of the trivia game, Mathison said, “Step by step, you’ve got to get all the way across, one correct answer at a time.”
As a player answers a trivia question correctly, they progress forward on the bridge, and money goes into their team’s bank. With each member that successfully makes it across the bridge, the team gets a bonus payment added to its pot. However, the team can only keep their winnings if they “beat the bridge” by returning one of its players back across the bridge before the clock runs out in an exciting end game. “It’s big. It’s fun. It’s big fun,” Mathison raved at the conclusion of the promo.
BEAT THE BRIDGE is scheduled to premiere on the Game Show Network in June. But as Mathison previously explained, all of the episodes have been completed, so his hosting duties thankfully won’t affect his time on GH! “I already shot BEAT THE BRIDGE last year, so Drew isn’t going anywhere!” he reassured his fans.
