GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Emma Samms Marries Simon McCoy!

Please join us in sending a big round of congratulations to GENERAL HOSPITAL‘s Emma Samms (ex-Holly) on her wedding! Just a few weeks after British news journalist Simon McCoy confirmed that the couple was engaged and planning a post-pandemic wedding, he and the GH alum quietly married! According to a social media announcement made by the bride, the newlyweds tied the knot on October 9.

In the photo Samms shared to Instagram and Twitter, she is wearing a beautiful cream-colored long-sleeved dress while clutching a bouquet of ivory and lavender flowers, while her groom looks quite dapper in a black suit and periwinkle tie and white boutonniére. With glowing smiles on their faces, the bride and groom only have eyes for one another. “Yesterday was a very good day,” Samms captioned her wedding photo, using the hashtags Mr. and Mrs.

McCoy, a popular BBC News journalist who recently moved to Britain’s GB News channel, shared his gratitude for all the well wishes on his Twitter page. “Twitter can be a lovely place,” he wrote, tagging Samms. “My wife and I are so happy. Thank you for all your kind messages.” The reporter also gave a special thanks to Chris Cook, the creative director of BBC News, who’d called the bride and groom “two of the most lovely people” and that he was so happy for them both. “Very special coming from the man who introduced us,” McCoy replied to his former colleague.

The union marks the fourth for Samms and the third for McCoy. The actress — who also found fame as Fallon on primetime dramas DYNASTY and THE COLBYS — was previously married to Bansi Nagji from 1991-’92, Tim Dillon from 1994-’95, and John Holloway from 1996-’2003, with whom she shares two children, Beatrice and Cameron. McCoy has a son, Max, from his first marriage, and separated from his second wife, BBC presenter Victoria Graham, in early 2019. Samms and McCoy began dating later that year and share a home in the charming Cotswolds area of south-central England. “We are both so happy,” McCoy told the Daily Mail last month of their engagement, “as are our children.”

We wish the McCoys all the best as they begin their married life together!
