GENERAL HOSPITAL’s John J. York & Kristina Wagner Reunite!

Hopefully, this is a sign that GENERAL HOSPITAL star John J. York (Mac) is on the mend and may soon be returning to the soap: The fan favorite will be making his first public appearance since he began cancer treatment last year.

This summer, York will join forces with his GH leading lady, Kristina Wagner (Felicia), for a Zoom fan event hosted by Coastal Entertainment! The virtual gathering will take place on Sunday, July 14, and it sounds like the actor is looking forward to interacting with his and Wagner’s fans!

“So much to talk about,” York confessed on Twitter/X while promoting the event. “And so excited to be with Kristina for her first Zoom! Hope you can join us!”

For more than an hour, viewers will get an intimate hangout with York and Wagner as they share anecdotes from the soap and answer questions posted in the chat. There are three levels of tickets that participants can purchase, each with varying degrees of interaction with the actors.

The chance to spend an evening with York was an opportunity that many of his Twitter followers were excited about. “So happy to hear from you, John,” wrote one fan, Diane. “I hope this means things are going well. Definitely planning on joining you two.” Added a fan named Irene, “This is great for a number of reasons, but for me, the number one reason is that it means you’re doing much better!”

York revealed in September that he was taking a “brief hiatus” from the show and later confessed that since December 2022, he had been battling two blood and bone marrow disorders, Myelodysplastic Syndrome (or MDS) and multiple smoldering myeloma. Thankfully, York began blood stem cell transplant treatment in November, and has been doing well!
