GH Alum Jonathan Jackson Honored With a Royal Literary Magazine Award

Tags:

Please join us in congratulating GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Jonathan Jackson (ex-Lucky) on being honored with the Distinction of Excellence from the Royal Literary Magazine Awards!

“Although I don’t feel worthy of this,” he shared on Instagram, “it is my sincere desire to assist in the promotion of authentic values. With this in mind, I will receive this very gracious honor in the spirit of humility and responsibility — a responsibility to continue every effort of repentance, faith, and love. My humble gratitude to everyone at the Royal Literary Magazine. This is a beautiful gift from God.”

Jackson was honored “for the contribution to the understanding of authentic art, for literary works written with inspiration and talent, for highlighting the values of Eastern culture.”

Daytime fans know Jackson best for his Emmy-winning portrayal of Lucky Spencer on GH as well as for his work in primetime series like NASHVILLE and films like Tuck Everlasting and The Deep End of the Ocean. But he is also an author, publishing a book of poetry titled Book of Solace and Madness under the name J.S. Jackson as well as the recently-released book The Mystery of Art: Becoming an Artist in the Image of God.

Jackson is also an accomplished musician, who formed the band Enation with his brother, Richard. The group recently released their long-awaited new album, Ultraviolet Empire, now available for streaming or downloading wherever you enjoy music.

While GH fans would love nothing more than to see Jackson return to Port Charles as Lucky for another appearance, it’s clear that the talented performer is keeping very busy. And who knows what other awards he’ll add to his collection in the future. The sky’s the limit!
