Get ready to see GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Vinessa Antoine (Jordan) in a brand new role as she plays Simone in season two of the Netflix dramedy GINNY & GEORGIA! “The wait is over!” the actress shared on Instagram with some backstage pics with her castmates on set. “Shaking things up a bit for Zion and Georgia in season two!”

GINNY & GEORGIA follows Ginny Miller, a teenager who is more mature than her adult mom, Georgia, as they navigate their dramatic lives after moving to a New England town. Zion is Georgia’s ex-boyfriend and Ginny’s father, who has decided to settle down in Boston to be nearer to his daughter. Antoine is playing his girlfriend, Simone.

“Special thank you to our director, Sharon Lewis, for letting me also tag along to shadow her this season as a director,” Antoine added. “I’m forever grateful to you, [series creator] Sarah Lampert, [showrunner] Debra J. Fisher, writer Angela Nissel, and the entire cast and crew for this opportunity!”

Antoine joined the cast of GH in 2014 as Jordan Ashford, but left in 2018 to star in the new Canadian primetime series DIGGSTOWN where she became the first Black Canadian woman to headline a television series. That show came to an end in 2022 after four seasons, and now she’s landed another gig in GINNY & GEORGIA, with the second season having dropped on Netflix on Jan. 5. “Go enjoy!” she urged her fans.
